Washington Nationals Homestand Highlights vs. Toronto Blue Jays (May 3-5) & Baltimore Orioles (May 7-8)

After a winning road trip that started with a four-game sweep in Miami, the Washington Nationals return home for a three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays, followed by a two-game set vs. the Baltimore Orioles. The third homestand of the season is packed with fun promotions and events for fans of all ages, including a blow-out theme celebration for STAR WARS™ Weekend and the fan-favorite Grateful Dead Day. Star Wars™ Weekend

The Washington Nationals are bringing a galaxy far, far away to the ballpark for STAR WARS™ Weekend. For the second blow-out weekend of the season, the Nationals are expanding their ever-popular STAR WARS™ day with three full days of special activations, giveaways and STAR WARS™ character appearances as the team takes on the Toronto Blue Jays.   • Friday night’s game against the Blue Jays will be televised exclusively on Apple TV+. Fans in the D.C. area can also listen to the game on 106.7 The Fan FM and in Spanish on DC 87.7 FM and La Pantera 100.7 FM/1220 AM.

  • The weekend-long celebration will kick off with Friday Night Fireworks, which will feature STAR WARS™-themed music following the completion of the game.

  • STAR WARS™ X-Wing Pilot Finnegan Bobblehead
  • 15,000 fans will receive a STAR WARS™ X-Wing Pilot Finnegan Bobblehead to rep their intergalactic Natitude.
  • Pre-game and in-game entertainment:
  • The Family Picnic Area will feature face painters, caricature artists and balloon twisters beginning when gates open at 2:45 p.m.
  • DJ Stylus Chris will perform when gates open next to the Budweiser Brew House.
  • STAR WARS™ characters from several local fan groups will pose for photos with fans.
  • Kids Lightsaber Training with Jedi Masters will take place next to the PenFed Kids Zone.
  • STAR WARS™-themed photo booths will be located throughout Nationals Park.

  • 15,000 fans will choose their side of the Force with a STAR WARS™ Light Side vs. Dark Side reversible beanie.
  • Pre-game and in-game entertainment:

  • DJ Princess C will perform at 12:15 p.m. next to the Budweiser Brew House.
  • STAR WARS™ themed photo booths will be located throughout Nationals Park.
  • Josh Gibson Foundation Visit
  • Youth enrolled in Josh Gibson Foundation programming will visit Nationals Park to visit the statue of Homestead Grays legend Josh Gibson, located on the Timeline Walk at Home Plate Gate, and learn more about Gibson’s achievements and contributions to the game of baseball and the community.
  • Also in attendance will be the Executive Director of the foundation and Gibson’s great-grandson, Sean Gibson.
  • With the goal to carry on the legacy of greatness embodied by one of the greatest Negro League players and National Baseball Hall of Fame member, the Josh Gibson Foundation develops programs that create opportunities and help children of every level of ability reach their potential.
  • Signature Sundays
  • Every Sunday home game, two Nationals players, coaches or broadcasters will be available for autographs down the first base line near the Nationals dugout prior to the game. The Nationals will provide vouchers at Section 103 on a first-come, first-served basis for fans to take part, weather permitting.
  • Kids Run the Bases
  • Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to run the bases after Sunday day games, weather permitting. Jr. Nationals MVP members have access to the front of the line. Learn more at nats.com/Kids.

TUESDAY, MAY 7 vs. BALTIMORE ORIOLES (6:45 PM ET)

  • 2024 BELTWAY SERIES: CITIES CONNECTED
  • When the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles face each other for the first time in 2024, they will honor their respective fans and cities by taking part in 2024 BELTWAY SERIES: CITIES CONNECTED. Both teams will don their popular City Connect uniforms during the first game of the series at Nationals Park.
  • As part of 2024 BELTWAY SERIES: CITIES CONNECTED, the Nationals and Orioles will celebrate their joint commitment to youth baseball and softball access, as members of both clubs’ Nike RBI programs will join together for a pregame ceremony.
  • Nationals Philanthropies will make a charitable contribution to Harlem Park Elementary Middle School in West Baltimore – the Orioles’ adopted school, while Baltimore will reciprocate with a contribution to the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy when the Nationals visit Baltimore for their two-game set in August.
  • University of Maryland Day

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8 vs. BALTIMORE ORIOLES (6:45 PM ET)

  • The Beltway Series presented by Inova
  • The Nationals will host their neighbors from the north for the second day in a row as part of the annual Beltway Series presented by Inova. The Nationals will travel to Baltimore for a two-game set in August.
  • Grateful Dead Day
  • With the purchase of a Grateful Dead special event ticket, fans will be able to enter Nationals Park at 5:00 p.m. – 30 minutes before gates open to the general public – and rock out with Andrew Weiss and Friends as they play the music of the Grateful Dead.
  • Fans who purchase a ticket at nats.com/GratefulDead will also receive an exclusive Nationals Grateful Dead co-branded long-sleeve t-shirt.

NATIONALS PHILANTHROPIES 5050 RAFFLE

  • The 5050 Raffle returns for all home games this season, offering fans the chance to win big cash prizes while supporting the community impact work of Nationals Philanthropies. New ticket prices and additional prizes give fans more ways to win.
  • Online ticket sales will open three hours before first pitch, and tickets will also be available inside Nationals Park at the kiosks located by sections 108, 138, 240 and 312 or from roving sellers through the middle of the 7th inning.
  • Tickets can be purchased using cash, credit and debit cards at 3 for $10, 30 for $20, 120 for $40, and 400 for $100.

NATIONALS PARK ENTRY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  • Go-Ahead Entry
  • A new addition to the entry process, the Nationals are incorporating MLB Go-Ahead Entry at the ballpark this season.
  • Go-Ahead Entry is an alternative option to the traditional ticket scanning process and is optional for fans.
  • Go-Ahead Entry uses facial authentication technology to streamline the ticket-scanning experience, allowing ticket holders who have opted-in to the service to enter the ballpark at dedicated gates at full walking speed without stopping.
  • Nationals Park has four Go-Ahead Entry stanchions: two at Center Field Gates, one at Right Field Gate and one at First Base Gate.
  • All fans will still go through the CEIA OPENGATE™ security screening, implemented in 2022 and used at all entrances.

  • Water Bottles
  • Nationals Park continues to allow clear, factory-sealed or empty plastic water bottles no larger than one liter. Metal and glass water bottles are not allowed, nor are frozen water bottles. Only one water bottle per person is permitted.
  • Water bottle refill stations are available throughout the ballpark.
  • Bag Policy
  • All bags larger than a clutch must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may not be larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches. Fans may bring a clutch (5” x 7” x ¾” or smaller) in addition to or instead of a clear bag.
  • Fans with diaper or medical bags may use ADA/Family lanes at the Center Field and Home Plate gates to have their items inspected.
  • Binbox is available for fans whose bags do not comply with ballpark regulations.
